In the summer of 2023 we received a request from our cliënt Acta Marine to repair the Ampelmann’s gangway on board the Acta Orion. The repair was necessary in order to secure the renewal of the Lloyd’s Register certification. The work consisted of welding on various parts and the replacement of tubes and angle lines. Everything, of course, entirely in accordance with Lloyd’s requirements.

Prior to the work, extensive research was done by Materiaal Metingen Europe to determine where the gangway needed to be repaired. After the repair work, De Back Conserveringsgroep carried out the preservation of the repaired areas. The project was completed in November 2023 in good cooperation with all parties.
