Blok Plaatmateriaal (formerly known as Houthandel Blok) was in need of expansion of the indoor construction. The ground floor, however, was not to be interrupted because of the required space for machinery and forklifts.

Venus & De Waard constructed and installed a steel storey construction in the existing production hall with a wide span and without support, so that the maximum ground floor area was preserved. The construction was installed while production continued.

The entire project was completed in a short period of time and fully according to the wishes of the client, to the satisfaction of director Jan Blok.
