The back of Rederij Vrolijk’s  SCH72 houses an enormous crane, which is used for all possible lifting operations  on board. The crane with a SWL (Safe Working Load) of 6 tons and a span of 12 m allows the ship to be self-supporting in any harbour in the world.

Venus & De Waard replaced in no more than three days the complete hydraulic piping system of the crane with rvs piping. Also, all hydraulic hoses were equipped with rvs fittings which were produced in house.

With this operation the crane is hydraulic-proof again for years to come.
